This is the left half of the carrot patch. You can pick a carrot from either this area or the one to the right—doesn't matter which. A carrot is needed if you wish to make use of the goat to remove the troll from the bridge.

One might think, seeing how this is a garden and all, the beans awarded by guessing the Gnome's name, could be planted here. However, the beans will not grow here and need to be planted in the Clover Patch (E2).
